After getting picked up from your hotel, head to the ancient city of Myra, located in Demre. Here, admire impressive rock-cut tombs, streets carved into the rock face, and a breathtaking amphitheater, and learn all about their vibrant history. Afterward, visit St. Nicholas Church, and admire the abandoned church’s impressive features and learn about St. Nicholas’ miracles and kindness, and how he came to be known as Father Christmas.
Later, head to the city of Demre for a boat trip along crystal-clear Mediterranean waters. Set sail from Demre Harbor to reach the island of Kekova. Here, located just under the water surface, lie the ruins of the ancient city of Simena. Weather permitting, go for a swim on the island and get the chance to see the remains of houses, tombs, and other ancient buildings.
Finally, visit the Lycian necropolis at Teimussa, which collapsed over 3000 years ago, before beginning the journey back to Antalya.
