Side

Side, a city built in the era of Ancient Greece is situated in the southwest of the country. It is the main city and port of ancient Pamphylia with a significant historical and cultural heritage, as well as a great place to relax with a warm cosmopolitan atmosphere, beautiful beaches and an ideal Mediterranean climate.

The rich history of Side could not help but be reflected in the monuments of architecture. Some of them are only ruins, while others have survived in good condition. “Survival” of the sights was helped by large-scale restoration work, initiated by the American publicist Alfred Friendly, who lived and worked for several years in the ancient city of Side in Turkey. Due to his efforts today we can admire these precious ancient structures, including the temples of Apollo and Athena, and explore the exhibits of the archaeological museum.

Most of the attractions are concentrated at the main entrance of the city, but some sites are spread along the coast, and there are cozy cafes and restaurants with live music in the evenings.
Incredible combination of seascapes, ancient monuments, lush vegetation and excellent infrastructure attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world.
